Alexander Buchan grew up in Detroit Michigan where he received his masters degree in industrial design at Wayne State University. He worked as a design sculptor for 18 years with the General Motors Design Center and is a Professor of Clay Modeling and Industrial Design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Alex's passion is focused on bronze sculptures depicting the great racing machines of the early 1900's and the men who built and raced them.
