An early-production model built in the debut year of the Ford Edsel, this 1958 Citation Convertible has a 410-cid, 345-hp V-8 engine mated to the TeleTouch automatic transmission that is mounted in the steering wheel hub. Options include the Town & Country signal-seeking AM radio, heater and wide whitewall tires. The Citations Durez Gold and Frost White paint is approximately 10 years old and retains its luster and shine, and is complemented by a gold-and-white interior in very good condition. The power convertible top was replaced in 2011 and the car is mechanically sound with all functions operating properly, including the TeleTouch transmission.
It is speculated that with the under-hood data tag reading that a “high” finish paint was originally applied, the Edsel may have spent time early on as a show or exhibition model.
