This was the last year for the optional 454-cid, big-block V-8 engine in a Corvette; its 270 horsepower is delivered through a four-speed manual transmission that is console mounted. Finished in Classic White with tan interior and equipped with T-tops, air conditioning, AM/FM stereo radio, Rally wheels and dual exterior mirrors. New for 1974 was a rear body-colored urethane bumper to complement the front bumper, and shoulder harnesses integrated with lap belts. Carried over from the previous year was a full-length hood with disappearing windshield wipers.
