For 1962, the Chevrolet Corvette retained much of the styling from the previous year’s model. New for 1962 was the introduction of the 327-cid V-8 engine, which replaced the 283-cid engine. Nineteen sixty-two was the final year of first generation C1 Corvette production. It also marking the last year of solid rear axle, electric generators and exposed headlights, a feature which didn’t return to the Corvette until 2005.

Having benefited from a prior restoration this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette presents itself beautifully in Roman Red with both a red hard top and a black soft-top. The car rides on blackwall radial tires which are mounted on five-spoke aftermarket mag-style wheels. The Corvette is powered by a 327-cid, 300-hp V-8 engine making it one of 3,294 built in 1962. The engine is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. The interior of the car is completed in red featuring bucket seats with seatbelts, a heater, and an AM radio.
