Pontiac introduced the Trans Am in 1969 as a special package added to the Firebird. By 1993 the Trans Am was beginning its fourth generation of production, a design which would remain until Pontiac discontinued the Trans Am following the 2002 model year.
This 2000 Pontiac Trans Am convertible is completed in black with a black convertible top. The car is powered by a 5.7-liter V-8 engine which is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. This Trans Am is equipped with the WS6 performance package which includes a Ram Air induction system, polished aluminum wheels, tuned suspension and polished exhaust. This sparingly driven Trans Am convertible is reported to have been meticulously maintained and garage kept its entire life. In 2000 Pontiac produced a total of 8,191 Trans Ams with the WS6 package, of those only 1,025 were convertibles.
