With the introduction of the 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS you could say goodbye to the mild-mannered, switch on the cruise control, are we there yet questions of the typical American four-door sedan of the era. With a Corvette-derived 5.7-liter, 260-hp LT1 V-8 engine and a suspension package originally designed in support of your local sheriff’s driving needs, this model didn’t really take a back seat to the competition.

The Impala SS began life as a “what if” idea in the Chevrolet Special Products Group. As in, “what if we have some fun with a big Chevy? Drop in a high performance LT1 V-8, lower it, add a special suspension, performance tires and 17-inch factory alloy wheels, plus give it an interior that enthusiasts will appreciate. It all came to be after rave reviews from the motoring press; you can enjoy an all-American sedan with a hot rod heritage and the legendary Chevrolet nameplate.

This Black with gray interior example is nicely equipped with bucket seats, center console, automatic transmission, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, key fobs, power windows, door locks, steering and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS.
