The 1969 Porsche 911 would be the first year that substantial changes would occur. The wheelbases of its 911 and 912 series cars were lengthened by 2.4 inches, greatly improving their drivability. The front fenders and rear-quarter wheel openings were flared slightly to accommodate wider wheels and tires. The heating and ventilating systems were upgraded from the previous year’s model, along with other numerous other interior and exterior updates.
There was now three models available, the 911E, 911S and the 911T; all of these were available in either a coupe or Targa body style. The E and S models were fuel injected but the T remained carbureted until 1972 when they would become fuel-injected. Also, the engine size in the 911 was increased to 2,341-cc by using a longer stroke.
Powering this stellar car is the famed 2.4-liter, flat six-cylinder engine backed by a five-speed manual transmission. The outside of the car shows nicely in its silver paint. Inside, the upholstery is finished with bucket seats wrapped in black upholstery. Options on this German sports car includes power brakes, a radio, comfort equipment and air conditioning.
This 911T is a two owner from new car that has lived its life in Arizona and as such remains very solid. It is reported that this car retains the original engine and transmission; and the 80,000 miles are original to the car also. It comes complete with a tool kit, paperwork from new, and a COA is on order and will be included with the purchase of the car.
