The story of this Corvette starts on April 6th, 1965 when it arrived at the dealership; the same day the current owner was born. The original registration from the first owner, who is the current owner’s father, shows April 22, 1965 from the Dominick Chevrolet Corporation in Charlottesville, Virginia. The first owner drove the Corvette in Charlottesville for two years until he moved back to his home in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Through its whole life it is said to have never been in any accidents, never driven in the winter, and always maintained properly.

From 1992-1993, a complete frame-off restoration was completed by Hamersteel Rustorations in Bolton, Ontario. During the restoration stainless steel brake lines and exhaust were installed. Pictures from the restoration show that correct markings were placed, following Corvette guidelines. Right after the completion of the restoration, the Corvette was entered into the Performance World Custom Car Show in Toronto. At this show it won “Street Stock Champion” and “Best Corvette in Show.”

Mileage on the car in September of 1981 was 75,076; and when the car was restored it had 79,000 miles. Now the car shows just over 81,000 miles; not even 10,000 miles have been accumulated since its Concours quality restoration.

Powering the Convertible is the L79 327-cid, 350-hp V-8 engine backed by a M20 four-speed manual transmission. The rear differential is a G81 posi-traction with 4:11.1 gears. Also fitted to the Corvette is the C07-Auxiliary hardtop, A02-Soft Ray Tinted Glass, K66-Transistor ignition system, N32-Teakwood steering wheel, N36-Telescopic steering wheel, N40-Power steering, P48-Cast aluminum knock-off wheels, U69-AM/FM radio and Z01-Comfort and convenience group. The car is finished in color Code CC, which is Ermine White over a Saddle interior.

This stunning Corvette is a one family owned car from new; purchased by the current owner’s father right from the dealership. This car received a Concours quality restoration in the early 90’s and has been hardly driven since.
