Model year 1941 marked the last time Cadillac produced a town car. Fleetwood did a one-off four-door 60 Special that premiered in New York and respected custom coachbuilder, Derham of Rosemont, Pennsylvania is reported to have built two commissioned cars. This is a later conversion that was not endorsed or commissioned by Cadillac, nor any of its associated coachbuilders.

This two-door town car is powered by the Cadillac 346-cid, 150-hp L-head V-8 engine and a manual transmission and rides on a 126-inch wheelbase. The body tag on the driver’s side cowl area reads Body by Fleetwood and the Style No. 41-6019S indicates that this modified two-door town car indeed has the 60 Special chassis with this custom town car body. The individual who executed the work may have also been inspired by the famed one-off Raymond Loewy – Derham Lincoln Continental Town Car, also built in 1941. Again, this is a non-factory endorsed restyling, but the effort was put forth to execute the work in a fine fashion. The rear seat is quite sofa-like and also quite comfortable. The body exhibits a distinctive bold grille and trim elements, amber lights, hood side louvers and Fleetwood badging.

The custom lift-off roof section is covered in blue vinyl that matches the deep blue body work, and with its tan interior, opera windows, fender skirts, radio, dual sideview mirrors, turn signals, heater, hood ornament, factory hubcaps and wide whitewall tires is properly regal in its presentation.
