The Bel Air included everything standard that was on the lower priced models, plus more comfort, convenience and styling characteristics. There were a wide assortment of body styles and models to choose from, but less than 10-percent of production were Bel Air Convertibles making them the most desirable and sought after Chevy's of that year. Highlighting the ‘55 lineup was the new, reliable small block V-8 engine that became an automotive legend; V-8 powered Bel Air's became an immediate success becoming the best-selling American car of 1955 with almost 771,000 being produced.

This stunning example was the recipient of a professional frame-off restoration, and it has been driven less than 1,000 miles since its completion. The two-tone convertible coupe has been finished in gorgeous two-tone Shoreline Beige/Gypsy Red with matching beige/red vinyl upholstery and beige power-operated soft-top. It's equipped with many options including the original matching 265-cid V-8 four-barrel Power Pack engine with dual exhaust, three-speed manual transmission with overdrive, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, dual mirrors, spotlights, tinted glass, Wonderbar radio, electric windshield wiper with washer, rear fender skirts, Continental kit, front grille guard with front and rear fender protectors, plus wide whitewall radials with rare original GM wire wheel covers. This fine machine represents a true ‘50s icon for the discerning collector.
