The Corvette, now a true no-excuses sports car, was rejuvenated slightly for 1957. Styling changes were minimal, but the list of powertrain and comfort options was continually ever-growing and even more tempting to the prospective Corvette owner. There were new colors, power accessories, and creature comforts, and under the hood, the freshly enlarged 283 cubic inch V-8 could be had with two different four-barrel carburetors and two different fuel injection options.

1957 marked the first year that fuel injection was offered in the Corvette. 1,040 “fuelies” were equipped with the Rochester fuel injection option. This year was also the first year that the four-speed manual transmission was made an option; only 664 Corvettes were equipped with this from the factory.

This 1957 Corvette is finished in black with black coves and a black auxiliary hardtop. The interior is highlighted with red upholstery, matching carpet and dashboard. Inside the car is the optional AM Wonderbar radio. The engine bay holds a 283 cubic inch, 245 horsepower V-8 engine that is fueled by dual four-barrel carburetors. The transmission is the desirable four-speed with a floor mounted shifter.

The car is showing just over 1,600 miles, these are the miles that have been put on the car since the restoration was completed. Contrary to the pictures provided, the car comes with the correct steel wheels and wheel covers installed with bias ply tires.
