In 1962, the Chevrolet Impala was the top of the line model. This particular Impala has been professionally restored and customized. The Impala has been chopped 2 ½-inches from its original setup; the decklid has been shortened, reversed gas door, altered side trim and a custom firewall with custom inner fenders. Every inch of this vehicle has been customized to create this beautiful and stunning Impala.
The reverse open hood gives sight to a monster 454-cid V-8 with approximately 500-hp. The engine was built to Lingenfelter specifications. The car is shifted by a modified series 350 automatic transmission that is connected to a Ford 9-inch rear end. The car is made comfortable cruiser by riding on air ride StrongArm suspension with 2-inch drop spindles. This car has power steering, brakes, windows, a radio and air conditioning.
The superior paintwork is two-tone Galaxy Silver and Medium Marblehead with complimenting grey leather interior with matching panels and carpet. The interior also sports a motorized glovebox door with conceals the Vintage Air conditioning, ignition switch and other controls.
This outstanding 1962 Impala has not participated in to many shows; however it was featured in the Chevy Rumbler Magazine and is also a Goodguy car show award winner. This Impala shows to be one of the best on the road today, and is ready to be shown and enjoyed by the next owner.
