Ford touted, “Greater Beauty, Greater Comfort and Greater Safety.” Clad with nearly every accessory offered, as well as some speed equipment, this DeLuxe coupe is just what Ford was advertising. It is formerly of an important major collection and has been lovingly cared for with proper stewardship.

The recipient of both AACA Junior and Senior Awards, as well as a 1988 National Auto Club 1st prize winner, this coupe has lived a life as a high scoring, fun Ford. It is finished in Washington Blue with a tan mohair interior. The interior is in nice shape with rubber mats, banjo steering wheel, and both the original AM radio and vintage under dash FM receiver. The paint is now showing some age with some marks where the hood corners touch the fenders, some light checking and chips. Under the hood is a custom built flathead with aluminum heads, dual one-barrel carburetors Mallory ignition and wires and 12 volt electrical system. The glass, trim and chrome appears to be original and in good shape. Other notables include optional greyhound mascot, steel skirts, dual mirrors and front bumper guard. Records indicate a body off restoration more than two decades ago and the coupe still shows very well from top to underside with an estimated 4,000 miles driven since finished. This coupe’s rarity, popularity and character will likely make for one of the most desirable offerings on auction day.
