The low-14-second quarter-mile times posted by the 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 required no apology. This impressive time was accomplished in the early days of the ever-increasing emission and fuel standards required by government mandates. The impressive LS5 454-cid, 365-hp V-8 engine was the key component to maintaining relevant speeds and performance and being able to confidently make claim to the term, “musclecar.” This particular car is enhanced further by also having a floor-mounted four-speed manual transmission. The interior color is black and the Chevelle has a bench seat and radio.

The classic SS lines on this blue Chevelle are highlighted by black sport stripes that are on the special domed hood with functional hood lock pins, and these extend to the trunk deck lid.
