Many desirable improvements were executed on this truck when it was restored, such as four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, 12-volt electrical system with alternator charging, tinted glass, electric turn signals and all-steel bed with oak subfloor. The best modification is the drive-train, a rebuilt Mercury 255 cubic inch flathead V-8 topped with Offenhauser polished aluminum heads and intake, Edelbrock carburetors and Fenton headers with dual exhaust. The chassis including the three-speed manual transmission, differential and rigid convertible frame were sourced from a 1940 Ford. Finished in dark gray with black fenders, it features flawless black upholstery complimented with Stewart Warner gauges and original banjo steering wheel. 15-inch wire spoke wheels with correct V-8 hub caps, trim rings and wide white radial tires round out this magnificent truck.
