The 1965 Corvette continued the very attractive and desirable 1963 Sting Ray design, but added four-wheel disc brakes as standard equipment. Over the course of the model year, the Corvette was evolving, as form followed function: fender vents were now vertical instead of horizontal and exhausted hot air from the engine compartment. 1965 coupes also got vents on the pillars to help cool the interior. Inside, gauges were now flat instead of convex, and the seats, carpet and door panels were changed as well.

The new disc brakes were developed courtesy of Chevrolet engineers, working in concert with Delco-Moraine, who developed an entirely new approach. The novel system allowed the pads to barely touch the discs at all times, providing near-instantaneous pedal response and satisfactorily addressing an early, valid criticism of disc brakes: when they got wet, they failed to work adequately. On the 1965 Corvette, they were faultless.

This unique 1965 Corvette Coupe is offered with 9,226 actual documented miles. It is reported to possibly be the lowest mileage 1965 Corvette coupe in existence. This magnificent Nassau Blue with blue interior Corvette is fully documented with past owner history, original sales invoice, Protect-O-Plate, window sticker and much more.

Adding to its rarity, it is quite likely the only 1965 Corvette built with a documented radio delete, automatic transmission, air conditioning and a 327-cid, 300-hp V-8 engine. Extraordinarily, it appears be running on the original tires. This very special Corvette has been judged by the best experts in the Corvette world earning most every award available. Among this impressive list of accomplishments are Multiple National Corvette Restorers Society Regional and National Top Flights awards. To further add credence to the quality of this fine machine are NCRS Performance Verification in 2005, NCRS Duntov Award in 2005, Bloomington Survivor Award from 2004, Bloomington Gold Certification in 2004, Gold Spinner Concourse Winner of 2004 and Corvette Vettefest Triple Crown Winner from 2004. Do not miss this rare opportunity to own a very unique piece of Corvette history in its purest form.
