This Woodward Edition is an original factory show car - one of the two "Pilot Car" Woodward Editions. Plymouth only built 151 production versions, plus two Pilot Cars and this represents one of those two rare pieces.
The roadster comes documented as the first Woodward Edition built and is referred to as a factory "Pilot Car." The Woodward Edition is finished in a combination of Prowler Black and Red (Black hood & rear deck lid) with Red lower panels, giving it a sporty and distinctive presence.
This particular Prowler has only 10,000 actual miles driven and is beautifully presented.
There are only 153 Woodward Edition Prowlers produced - each production model is numbered and signed by Dr. Ru (Pilot Cars are not numbered), the signature and number are in the pin stripe just above the rear license bracket, there is a hand-painted Red pinstripe by Dr. Ru around the lower portion of the Black top.
The car is powered by a 3.5-liter, 253-hp V-6 engine that is mated with a four-speed automatic transmission. Braking is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The interior features bucket seats, center-console, remote deck-lid release and white-faced instrument cluster. Additionally you will find air conditioning. Power windows, door locks, steering and brakes are all standards for this model.
The exterior highlights include bright factory cast-aluminum wheels, exposed A-arm front suspension, sport mirrors and dual exhaust.
The Woodward Edition Prowler is the first two-tone Prowler, and is named for Detroit's most historic cruising boulevard.
