497-cc, 21-hp vertical twin-cylinder engine, four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension with transverse semi-elliptic spring, semi-trailing-arm rear suspension with swing axles and coil springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 72.4-inches

Launched in 1957, the Fiat 500 was a rear-engine economy car. Enormously practical and popular, it was built until 1975, by which time nearly four million had been made. Body styles included a two-door coupe, three-door estate car and a panel van, but certainly the most fun of the line was the open Jolly runabout.

Intended for the resort trade, the Jolly was modified from a standard 500 by the Italian coachbuilder Ghia. This involved removing the roof and doors, and adding wicker seats and a fringed surrey top. About 700 were produced between 1960 and 1965, and they were briefly sold in the United States.

This 1961 Jolly is in very good condition. Painted yellow with yellow-and-black striped top, it has brown carpet on the floor. The engine compartment in particular shows great detail and is clean and tidy throughout. There are no frills, just plenty of thrills. What you see is what you get, perfect for your beach house or as a yacht tender.
