This is a very desirable "early build" first-year Riviera Sport Coupe with the original, factory installed 401-cid Nailhead engine and working factory air conditioning. The early build cars included the smooth dash, rare 120-mph speedometer, special mounted driver side rear view mirror and trunk mounted spare, which separates this example from the later production models. This is the 6,263th Riviera built out of a total limited production run of only 40,000 examples. It is highly original, right down to the 1963 carpet that still has the original tag attached; it is in incredible condition. The Riviera has an all original interior, other than new bucket seats which have been carefully restored to maintain the originality. This is a well-optioned example that presents beautifully. All trim codes are correct to the original build confirmed by the cowl tag. Finished in code CC Arctic White; code 718 Blue Leather; code J2 Power Seats; code N2 Factory Air Conditioning; code U7 Power Windows and code Z4 which denotes the glove box mounted trunk release. The engine bay has been fully restored and includes all new belts and hoses, new water pump, fan clutch, head gaskets, machined and serviced heads, hot-tanked, cleaned and pressure tested radiator, thermostat, complete gasket set, new coolant, oil, filter and power steering fluid. This Buick Riviera represents a very fine example of the "Gentleman's Muscle Car" and remains in extraordinary original condition.
