This 1947 ford Station Wagon shows the high level of pride of ownership and expert care it has received from its very few owners. The paint, wood, glass, upholstery and wood graining are all original. Early service records from R.E. Jordan of East Orange New Jersey, the original owner, are included with the car. The car was acquired by Nick Alexander in 2009 and his restoration shop performed extensive mechanical service, including rebuilt steering box, 3.78:1 ring-and-pinion and new exhaust system. Original radio was reconditioned and plays beautifully. The original 100-hp Flathead has been rebuilt just a few thousand miles ago and a Columbia two-speed rear end was added to enhance freeway cruising speeds. The wood has been completely stripped of countless layers of old varnish and eight coats of marine varnish applied. A new, correct vinyl top was recently installed and fits perfectly. Nick has toured this woody often and reports that is a pleasure to drive. The odometer reads 70,503 miles, and this figure is thought to be correct.
