The Austin-Healey was made for just 8 short years but in that time managed to establish itself as one of quiet legends of sports cars. Highly competitive within its class in rally racing or various forms of road racing, the 3000 was successful in its day and remains a popular choice for motorsports through today. This beautiful example marks the end of the production of the 3000 series in 1967. Classified as the BJ8, the new model was the most powerful and luxurious of the big Healeys, with a walnut-veneer dash, wind-up windows, and a 150 horsepower engine. Improvements to the engine included a new camshaft and valve springs, and twin SU 2" HD8 carburetors, together with a new design of exhaust system. Servo-assisted brakes were now fitted as standard.

Presented in a gorgeous two tone red and black combination this Austin is complemented by a chrome luggage rack and true “knock off” wire spoke wheels. With a highly detailed restoration this sports car is sure to be a favorite of any collector.
