This is an exquisitely manufactured half-scale Ferrari 500 F2 by Carrozzeria G. Berti of Jesi, Italy. The owner noted that it is an all-original, hand-built, one-off children's car that was superbly crafted by experienced engineers, as expected from Italian coachbuilders of the 1950s. With bespoke chassis and bodywork that was hand-formed over a wooden buck using steel and aluminum body panels fitted with a rear-mounted Italian 50-cc petrol scooter engine. Fresh air to the engine bay is carried by tubing through the body and from the side scoops on the bodywork for clean air.

This car also features multiple speed transmission, throttle control pedals, steering, front and rear hydraulic drum brakes, authentic suspension, fully trimmed cockpit, and dashboard fitted with handmade wood-rim steering wheel (as the adult-sized Ferrari would have had), and a vintage Veglia speedometer from Moto Guzzi. Faithful versions of the wire wheels and Firestone tires are where the rubber meets the road.

Finished in its original Rosso red with appropriate Ferrari Cavallino Rampante hood emblem, this survivor presents in a well-loved and used condition to be enjoyed by the next owner as is, or to undergo a complete restoration. Wherever your automotive interests lay, this is a rare find and destined to be a highlight in any collection. The vintage pit marker is also included.
