Debuting at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 997-generation of Porsche’s fabled 911 GT2 brought truly staggering levels of performance to the 997 platform. Turning out 530 bhp and 505 foot-pounds of torque from its 3.6-litre flat six-cylinder engine with twin turbochargers, the 911 GT2 could race to a top speed of 204 mph, making it the fastest street-legal 911 ever produced at the time of its introduction.
This GT2 was originally built to Middle Eastern specifications and delivered new to the United Arab Emirates. Exported to Switzerland by October of 2011, the car has remained with its present, Swiss owner since 2015. Finished in Grand Prix White over a black leather interior, the car was originally fitted with comfort seats, however it is presently fitted with carbon-fiber backed, leather-trimmed sport seats. A handful of documents accompany the car, including records from a service carried out by Centre Porsche Genève in April of 2018 at 12,187 km. Presently, the car has been driven just under 16,000 km from new.
Over a decade after its introduction, the 997-generation 911 GT2 still remains an incredible car to drive and enjoy, providing truly astonishing performance. This well-kept example would surely be a thrill to drive and enjoy for any enthusiast.
