The esteemed Guyton Collection, ranging from automotive memorabilia to American and European automobiles spanning the Veteran, Brass, and Classic eras and amassed over the course of four decades was offered entirely without reserve Saturday and sparked spirited bidding from participants from over 27 countries globally, with 40 percent of bidders representing first time RM Sotheby’s clientele. The Guyton Collection represents the company's 34th private collection sold at auction, and was an undeniable success across the board. Bidding on a number of automobile lots climbed above and beyond their pre-sale high estimates, and multiple memorabilia items nearly doubled their highest estimates. The Titanic Pub, which doubled as the bar during the auction, quadrupled the high estimate of $20,000 and sold for an astounding $84,000!
