A Three-Time French Le Mans Competitor Back on Home Turf

Sculpted to slip through the air, this 1967 Alpine A210 competed in some of the most significant races of the 1960s.

Endurance challenges including the Nürburgring 500 KM, the 9 Hours of Kyalami, and the 12 Hours of Reims were confronted with ease by this works-prepared chassis, but no race in history is as storied as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With its lightweight bodywork and twin-cam Gordini-Renault powerplant, this example proudly represented French racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times from 1967 to 1969 and won its class twice. Watch as tame racing driver Ben Collins takes this decorated veteran racer back to its home turf on the Circuit de la Sarthe, and be sure to tune in on 9 June 2023 as RM Sotheby’s offers this piece of motorsport history as part of our centenary Le Mans auction.
