Completed by Ferrari in June of 2011, this Ferrari 599 GTO, chassis no. 182832 falls late within 599 GTO production. Finished in two-tone Nero with Rosso Corsa racing livery, the singular central racing stripe and painted mirrors option available on the 599 GTO, the car’s exterior color scheme carries through to its interior. Fitted with fully electric seats (as all U.S.-specification 599 GTOs were), it is trimmed in Nero leather with Daytona style seats with Rosso inserts. Further Rosso detailing is seen throughout the interior, including Rosso seat belts, instrument panel, stitching, and tachometer. Additional options include black-painted 20” Challenge wheels with carbon fire wheel centers, brake calipers in Rosso, carbon door sills, iPod connectivity, privacy rear windows, and the Bose HiFi system.
Delivered new via Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in October of 2011, the car remained in Florida for the first four years of its life, having accrued some 1,229 miles as of May 2014 as per the accompanying Carfax report. By 2016, the 599 GTO had been exported to Switzerland and later, it would find its was to the Middle East, and is presently located in Dubai. Presently showing less than 1,900 miles on its odometer, the car has been looked after by Al Tayer Motors, the official Ferrari dealership in Dubai, as well as by Dragon Racing.
Now over two decades from when the car was first unveiled, the 599 GTO has become a bona fide 21st century blue-chip collectable as the beginning of Ferrari’s front-engined V-12 ‘Special Series’ supercars. Considered by many to be one of the best driving Ferraris of its era, these are truly usable supercars, comfortable for long journeys with copious amounts of luggage space. Pininfarina’s muscular yet elegant design has aged gracefully, making a well-specified 599 GTO a must-have in any collection, especially a low-mileage example such as this.
