Benjamin claims that it is to his father, an ardent collector and enthusiast, that he owes his love for cars and Automobilia. During his youth, they would go together to each automotive auction in Paris, and he claims that in his childhood bedroom, he had more than 400 model cars—notably of the Ferrari brand. As soon as he obtained his driving license, Benjamin bought and sold cars in order to eventually buy a Porsche 911 3.3 at the age of 22. After a master's degree in business law, he graduated from the Reims Management School. His first professional years were spent in the French automotive press, notably for famous magazines such as Automobiles Classiques, Auto Moto, Auto Plus, and Sport Auto. In 2013, he became the car expert for the French auction house Aguttes when it launched its car department, where he developed their sales until 2016 when he joined Artcurial Motorcars as a car specialist. For six years, he worked on the development of Artcurial’s motorcars department, notably working on Porsche and Youngtimers.
Benjamin Arnaud joined RM Sotheby's European Division as Director of Sales, France, in September 2022. He is in charge of developing RM Sotheby’s presence in French-speaking markets.
