This lovely Bentley was purchased in October 1973 by Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc., for the use of its president and founder, William B. Ruger Sr., the father of the consignor. At the time, it had travelled 5,832 miles and was still under factory warranty. Mr. Ruger used the car carefully until circa 1980, when it was provided by Sturm, Ruger & Co. for the use of William B. Ruger Jr. It was used regularly, except during the winter, and always serviced regularly. Since 1999, it has been regularly serviced by Bentley of Boston, with the most recent service taking place in May 2012. Thus, this car has always been well looked after and all systems are believed to be up to date in service and fully operational

In December 2005, the consignor purchased the car from Sturm, Ruger & Co., and since then, it has been in his personal collection. The Bentley retains its original paint finish of Sand over Brewster Green, and the original interior is tan leather piped with dark green. Its tool kit and jacking tools are original and complete, and the car comes with its original owner’s manual, in perfect condition, an extensive collection of bills that show consistent service, as well as a good file of original documentation and service records sourced from the Rolls-Royce Foundation. This car is of the earlier chrome bumper and high compression type, which has better performance than most of the later cars. The car has nearly new Michelin tires and is ready to provide its new owner with many years of enjoyable motoring.
