Räikkönen’s helmet, produced for and only used at the 2005 Monaco Grand Prix, was designed, inlayed with diamonds, and specially prepared for the race by Steinmetz, Swiss-based diamond producers. It is finished in a flat black and has orange and white highlights to accompany the diamonds, which spell out Räikkönen’s nickname of “Ice-Man”. Räikkönen’s helmet accompanied the racer to a 1st place finish and was just as eye catching as the trophy he received for his incredible performance.

Following the conclusion of the race, Räikkönen’s helmet, along with a similar helmet created for teammate Juan Pablo Montoya, was gifted by the McLaren F1 team to a generous individual who had made charitable donations on behalf of the team.

Available once again today, this unique helmet captures some of the personality of both Kimi Räikkönen and the Monaco Grand Prix itself.

Réalisé spécialement par Steinmetz, le diamantaire fameux basé en Suisse, il est de teinte noir mat, avec des touches orange et blanches qui accompagnent les diamants, eux-mêmes disposés de façon à former le mot « Iceman ». Le casque de Räikkönen a accompagné le pilote jusqu'à sa victoire, constituant une attraction aussi spectaculaire que le trophée qu'il a reçu pour cette performance hors du commun.

A l'issue de la course, le casque de Räikkönen, ainsi qu'un autre similaire créé pour son coéquipier Juan Pablo Montoya, a été donné par l'équipe McLaren à un généreux particulier qui avait effectué des dons caritatifs pour le compte de l'équipe.

A nouveau disponible aujourd'hui, ce casque unique symbolise à la fois la personnalité de Kimi Räikkönen et du Grand Prix de Monaco lui-même.
