The R29 was Renault’s steed for the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship. Fernando Alonso would be the team’s favored driver for the season, with Nelson Piquet Jr. racing for Renault through the 10th round of the season, when he was replaced by Romain Grosjean. Unfortunately, 2009 would prove to be a trying season for the team, who finished 8th in championship standings.
This engine cover was fitted to an R29 for the 2009 season and is believed to have been used on a car driven by Fernando Alonso. It would make a thrilling addition to the garage of any Formula 1 enthusiast.
