The 1924 Cadillac came from the factory with a 314.5-cid, 80-hp V-8 engine and a three-speed manual, floor-mounted transmission. The Phaeton has a long, impressive presence that features the optional nickel-plated headlamps and radiator shell; capped by a motor-meter. Cowllights are also on the car, as is the optional dual-mount spare tire arrangement found at the rear of the car along with its leather-covered trunk. The Cadillac is fitted with wooden-spoke artillery wheels and BF Goodrich Silvertown tires. The interior features leather interior, wood steering wheel, full instrumentation, a beautiful rearview mirror, headliner and side-curtains. There is also a vacuum-wiper for the windshield, and a triple taillight.
This fine automobile was restored in a frame-off manner that was completed in 2006 to factory specifications. The engine has been totally rebuilt by Done Right Auto in Cleveland, Ohio in 2005. The Cadillac is reported to be “restored to near-perfect condition”, the owner estimates the condition as a 98 out of 100 level of quality. It has received a great deal of attention to detail and is said to “run and drive like a new car, that must be seen to be truly appreciated.”
