For 1961, the convertible Sunliner was the top of Ford's Galaxie line-up of big cars. The company produced 44,614 Sunliners that year with engine ranging from a 223-cid, 145-hp inline six-cylinder to a 390-cid, 401-hp V-8. Because the Sunliner eschewed much of the '50s-era glitz and chrome, the largest Fords were slow to catch on with collectors, but that sentiment has changed. This Lot# is in immaculate condition and once a magazine feature car.
