This TVR is powered by a 170-cid, 160-hp OHV V-6 Ford "Cologne" engine, equipped with Bosch fuel injection and mated to a Ford four-speed transmission. Production of the 280i essentially ended in 1987, the same year TVR left the U.S. market for good, although another five examples trickled out of the factory the following year. Total production of the V-6 wedge shaped cars reached just 1,167, 862 of which were convertibles. Out of this small number, it's estimated that 400 to 500 cars reached the United States.
This car is completely original with less than 12,000 miles. The hand-built chassis is tubular, allowing for the total curb weight of 2,368 pounds. Included with the car are the original media kit and owners manuals.
