This was the third year Imperial would receive its own platform as an independent brand and were thought by many to be the most beautiful of Virgil Exner’s Forward Look design. The new, massive grille and bumper design conveyed a feel of simple elegance and was advertised at the time as being fresh, modern and functional. This Ivory White Imperial Crown features convenience and performance elements such as power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, outside rearview mirror, vanity mirror, six-way power seat, electric clock and windshield washer. Power is delivered by a 6.8-liter V-8 engine with pushbutton Torqueflite transmission.
