383-cid, 330-hp, 435-ft./lbs. Marauder V-8 engine, four-barrel Holley carburetor, Multi-Drive Merc-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission, independent front and leaf spring rear suspension and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 122-inches

At a time when cars were big, this 1958 Mercury Voyager two–door station wagon was one of the biggest. Completely restored mechanically and cosmetically, this beautiful station wagon features stunning correct Oxford Gray paint with Flamingo Red accents and a correct black and red interior. All of the cars chrome is either new or NOS, complemented with many other rare NOS pieces collected over several years by the owner.

The Mercury is thought to have been sold new in San Diego, eventually making its way to Tucson, Arizona where the current owner purchased it. After acquiring the car a comprehensive restoration was begun to return the 1950s Art Deco-inspired wagon to its former glory. Only recently completed, it placed first in class at its debut showing at Milwaukee’s Masterpiece Concours in August, 2010. Clearly this achievement was a testament to the quality of the restoration and the efforts made to make this Mercury as original appearing as possible, we think they succeeded handsomely.
