This beautiful Cadillac is powered by a 346-cid, 130-hp V-8 Cadillac engine. It has many appointments that are to be expected of this era of luxury car. The car has a very nice presence and this includes the interior and two-tone paint. The interior features the original AM radio, along with high-quality upholstery and carpet. The Cadillac underwent a three year restoration by Clark Automotive.

The car has good documentation that indicates that the approximate 31,000 miles are correct, but this cannot be 100-percent confirmed. This beautiful car is with its third registered owner, who has owned the car for the past 31-years.

The Cadillac has an electric fuel pump and the two-core radiator has been upgraded with a five-core type. The trunk has a custom mat.

This car has entered and been successful in multiple shows, including 99.25 (of 100) points scored at an International Cadillac - LaSalle Club event that resulted in a first place award. The car has indeed won first place in every show in which it has been entered.

Bill Mitchell, designer of the 1938 Cadillac Sixty-Special, had been with General Motors’ Art and Color Section less than a year when he was promoted to head Cadillac and LaSalle styling. The Cadillac Sixty-Special was his first project and it proved the insight of his advancement. It is one of the great designs of Thirties and a milestone for Cadillac styling.

It has been estimated that Mitchell, who would later head General Motors's design department in the Sixties and Seventies, determined the appearance of 72 million cars. These included such clean designs as the 1963 Buick Riviera, 1963 Corvette and 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. However the 1938 Sixty-Special continued as one of Mitchell's favorite designs.

Built on a double-drop frame, it was three-inches lower than other Cadillac models. This low profile improved handling and allowed for the elimination of running boards. This was a first for a car from the “Big Three.” The Sixty-Special was the first sedan with a fully-integrated trunk.

Morgan Woodward has done over 250 TV and Motion picture films. He holds the record for having done more guest starring roles on the series "Gunsmoke" (19) and "Wagon Train" (11) than any other actor. Woodward was a regular guest star on the series "Dallas" (1980-1988), the top-rated television series in the world for several years, where he portrayed the character "Punk Anderson".

He was mentioned by many of the nation's top film critics as an outstanding contender for the 1967 Motion Picture Academy Award in a supporting role, for his portrayal of "the man with no eyes" in "Cool Hand Luke" starring Paul Newman.

Early in 1969, the three major networks submitted what they considered to be their finest Western film for the Western Heritage Foundation's Cowboy Hall of Fame Award. Woodward guest-starred in two of the three films submitted. One of these, "The Buffalo Soldiers" (an episode of NBC's High Chaparral") won the coveted award.

A featured article in Newsweek Magazine on screen "heavies" entitled "The Dirty Half Dozen" named Woodward as one of the six most wanted bad guys in television and motion pictures. Mr. Woodward is now retired, and divides his time between his ranch in Paso Robles and his home in Hollywood.

Mr. Woodward's chief hobby is restoring, rebuilding and flying antique airplanes. In aviation circles, he is recognized as an authority on Early American Aircraft and has received numerous awards for his restoration projects.
