This refurbished 1959 Nash Metropolitan convertible features the Austin manufactured 1500-cc four-cylinder engine rated at 55-hp and three-speed transmission. The two-tone Metropolitan is fitted with a rear-mounted Continental kit, whitewall tires and bumper guards. The Nash was restored about four years ago, beginning with a solid car. The convertible received new paint, interior, chrome, tires and mechanical components. The 1959 models represented the first major re-design since its introduction in 1953 with an external deck lid and vent windows that resulted in an additional fifteen pounds. The polished stainless steel side panel trim introduced with the series III continued in 1959.
