The fantastic large-scale Lionel train layout that we have the pleasure of presenting here from the Cars of Dreams Museum is a one of a kind piece that represents the cooperative effort of numerous craftsmen and technicians combining for in excess of 2,500 man hours of labor. Built largely by noted technician and engineer Rich Roman, of East Coast Enterprises, the layout is an original design and combines numerous action displays, buildings, scenes, and individual dioramas depicting normal life and day to day movements. Additionally, there are areas of impressive detail, such as the engine roundhouse, dual layers of track and trains, many animated street scenes, as well as a waterfall, mountain pass, and trestle track.

As mentioned, the piece is a remarkably large example and measures approximately 30 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 9 feet tall to the top of the custom made mountain. It is surrounded by a metal platform and viewing area, complete with custom built and attached plexiglass side panels for almost a 360 degree viewing of the layout. All of those pieces are included in the sale of the layout, as are all the electronic controls and related ephemera. Please note that special arrangements will need to be made for the removal, packing, and transport of the layout by the successful purchaser. As one would expect, the layout is in excellent operational condition with all pieces functioning flawlessly, and witnessing everything at speed is truly an exhilarating experience. The layout is largely constructed of modern Lionel components, and it utilizes some of the newest and best technology in its construction.
