Est. 830+ bhp, 358 cu. in. V-8 with a single four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, front suspension with unequal length wishbones and a solid rear axle with trailing arms and a Panhard bar, and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. Wheelbase: 110 in.

When Jeff Gordon went into the 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, he was certainly no stranger to success on a professional level. With four Winston Cup Championship titles and two wins at the Daytona 500 to his name, he had a dedicated legion of fans and was one of the most recognizable figures in stock car racing.

For the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Gordon would get behind the wheel of a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that was built by Hendrick Motorsports and shod in Gordon’s now signature DuPont “Fire and Flames” livery. This car, chassis 24-387, would lead Gordon to a pair of wins at the USG Sheetrock 400 at the Chicago Speedway in July 2006 and at the Bank of America 500 at Lowes Motor Speedway in October 2007. Furthermore, both the car and driver also accrued four top-five finishes and five top-ten finishes over the course of 14 races, as well as one pole position within the 2006 and 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship Series.

The car is incredibly well documented from Hendrick Motorsports and is accompanied by a detailed book that lists its individual build specifications and race history, as well as a binder that includes more documentation and a notarized Certificate of Authenticity, marking it as a true Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR. Two race suits used by Jeff Gordon also accompany the car, both of which have been signed by Jeff Gordon.

Following its retirement from professional racing at the end of the 2007 season, this car was restored to as-raced condition by the Hendrick Motorsports Number 24 team, and it still appears just as it did in 2006 and 2007. This Chevy is perhaps one of the most notable cars in Mr. Pack’s collection, and it would be an ideal acquisition for any NASCAR or motorsports fan.
