According to the SAAC Shelby Registry, chassis SFM 6S2363 was born as a road-ready Shelby GT350, finished in Sapphire Blue, for 1966. It was shipped to Paradise Ford of Scottsdale, Arizona, and purchased new by Jerry and Kathi Stewart of Greer, Arizona, on 21 September of that year. The Stewarts quickly started putting miles on their new Shelby, both on the road and with Kathi behind the wheel at autocross events.

In 1969, the car was purchased by Jim Emert of Scottsdale, who had the GT350 race-prepared by noted SCCA racer Don Roberts. With Roberts behind the wheel, the Shelby won five races in the 1970 season, claiming the SCCA B-Production Southern Pacific Division Championship. Roberts was also behind the wheel of the GT350 when it finished 4th in class at the 1970 American Road Race of Champions.

For the 1971 season, Don and Sharon Roberts purchased the GT350 for themselves and Don continued racing. That season, he picked up two wins in the B-production class and finished 3rd at the American Road Race of Champions at Road Atlanta. The car was then sold to John Goodson of Tallahassee, Florida, for the 1972 season and was prepped from IMSA competition. Eleven years later, the car travelled back west when it was acquired by Jere L. Clark of Phoenix, who had Phil Roberts and Danny Ranshaw further prepare the car for vintage competition. Its first outing was the 1983 Monterey Historics and the car was routinely campaigned until 1990, when it was put into storage. Jere's most significant accomplishment with this GT350 was his 1st place overall finish at the 1988 Monterey Historics, which was the first time a GT350 had won the Big Bore class at the event.

Clark removed his GT350 from storage in 1999 and returned it to a familiar face, Don Roberts. It was then acquired by Jim Click in 2002, who has continued to race the GT350 while still being maintained by Don Roberts, including a full engine rebuild prior to the 2015 Monterey Historics. Today, it remains ready for further vintage racing and would surely be a delight to drive at speed on the track.
