Specifications: 864 cc SOHC V-twin, five speeds.
Much as American police rode Harley-Davidsons for years, and the British had their white Triumph Saints, Italian Municipal Police have used Ducatis. In 1978, a number of municipal police departments bought a version of the 860 bevel-drive twin, fitted with windshield, leg shields and side panniers. The bikes were actually built on a 750GT frame, with 750 tanks and side covers. This example was used by the Bologna Police Department and is original throughout with presentable black paint and chrome and remarkably low indicated mileage. It would be an atypical but interesting addition to any collection.
