351 cu. in. Ford V-8, Tremec five-speed manual high capacity transmission, independent front suspension, and four-wheel power disc brakes. Wheelbase: 101.3"
This 1995 Mustang developed by Roush Industries is truly unique in that it offers improved engine and handling performance over the Mustang GT and Cobra models, with $65,500 of performance upgrades commissioned by the Dingman Collection. The powertrain and suspension were upgraded with custom and aftermarket components, which provide a noticeable improvement in the acceleration and handling performance of the vehicle. It retains many of the luxuries of a production Mustang, including air conditioning, anti-lock brakes, leather upholstery, and the Ford premium sound system.
Starting with a brand-new 1995 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, Roush sourced a Fontana 351 cubic inch aluminum block, TFS cylinder heads, and a number of parts supplied by the Ford Special Vehicle Operations group, as well as a high volume oil pump, Cobra “R” headers, SuperQuiet mufflers, Ford Thunderbird resonators, and a custom precision balanced driveshaft; an earlier Mustang clutch assembly and bell housing were mated to a Tremec high capacity transmission. Roush also added a number of their one-off prototype parts, including the air box, carbon fiber hood, intake, and fuel rails. Accompanying the suspension modifications are BBS alloy wheels shod with Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires.
This example shows only 3,667 miles on the odometer and is finished in white with a tan leather interior, including Roush floor mats; the driver’s seat has also been relocated to allow more legroom for taller drivers. The documentation accompanying this Roush Mustang includes engine dynamometer data and a recommended maintenance schedule with fluid capacities, so the next owner has full knowledge of all maintenance items dictated by the customization.
