182 hp, 272 cu. in. overhead valve V-8 engine, automatic transmission, wishbone coil spring front suspension and live rear axle, and four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase: 115.5 in.

Ford’s top of the line model for 1955 was the flashy new Fairlane Crown Victoria, with its pillarless hardtop and “tiara” roof trim. With new factories opening and thousands of cars hitting the showroom floors, the 1955 production run was the second best in Ford history, and its success was largely attributed to the beautiful design of the various Fairlane models. Neatly tucked away in the Charlie Thomas Collection is this nicely restored example, finished in Raven Black and Snowshoe White, as when brand new. It is a very clean example with super straight body panels and even panel gaps. The interior is color matched with white vinyl and black cloth inserts. The engine bay has also been well restored, utilizing all of the correct colors, finishes, and FoMoCo parts. Optional equipment includes a pushbutton radio, power steering, power windows, a power seat, and a Continental kit. Well-kept and well-presented, this premium Ford is ready for enjoyment.
