This is a replica of the famous 1903 Wright Brothers plane. The engine is believed to be of the Renault type, from the period of 1918–1925. Unlike the Wright plane, this replica utilises a seat for the pilot instead of a prone position, implying that it might have been flown on occasion.

Although very little is known about the history of the plane, research suggests it was discovered in a barn in the Normandy area in the late-1970s, by Danish friends of Baron J.O. Raben-Levetzau. The Baron purchased the flying machine, which was restored to its former glory, as it appears today, with no evidence of rot in the wood or tears in the canvas. The plane was displayed in the main hall, suspended from the ceiling.

The propellers are powered by the Renault engine, driven via heavy-gauge chains. The craftsmanship is excellent; the wood veneer on the propellers is exquisite, and the attention to detail would impress any engineer. The machine is very imposing. It is impossible to feel unawed in its presence.
