A very nice example of Weymann fabric bodywork, this Lagonda 16/80 saloon looks to be a fairly recent restoration. It is extremely tidy throughout; it’s grey and black livery is complimented by a grey leather interior and matching carpets. The dashboard comprises a black oval instrument panel set in a nice varnish wood surround, exhibiting only minimal flaws. The engine compartment is well detailed.

Although possessed with the flexibility that Weymann bodies are blessed with, the car is structurally sound, and all the doors operate well. The side-mount spare leaves the boot lid free to drop to a picnic position, and the car has a central spot-driving lamp ahead of the grille. It carries a British registration of FG8787, a 1933 issue from the County of Fife in Scotland, probably original to the car.
