With the debut of the Mark VI Standard Steel saloon in 1946, Bentley finally embraced a form of factory coachwork. Some clients, however, still ordered bespoke bodies. The first owners of this car, D.E. and J. Levy of Haymarket, London, specified a James Young saloon, which was delivered through Jack Barclay Ltd., on 4 August 1949.
