Among the most interesting modern automobiles is the Plymouth Prowler, an attempt by a major manufacturer at building a factory “hot rod,” combining the best of traditional high-boy styling and modern engineering in one high-performance package. The Prowler offered here, a 1999 model in menacing Prowler Black, was acquired by its current owners, longtime collectors and enthusiasts, from Fred Oakley Motors of Irving, Texas, on 6 February 1999, and has remained in their ownership ever since. Noted as having 29 miles on delivery, it has now recorded only 410 actual miles at the time of cataloguing, almost all of them in the first few weeks following delivery, and, accordingly, is scarcely even broken-in. It would be an ideal opportunity for the enthusiast to acquire one of these fascinating automobiles, for continued preservation or for enjoyment on the open road.
