Combining luxury with performance, this Porsche 928 features air conditioning, sunroof; power windows, seats, door locks, power steering and brakes. The Porsche 928S was designed as a way to offer the performance sports car buyers expected from Porsche, but in a package that offered a little more refinement than the 911. Featuring a front mounted eight-cylinder engine displacing 4.7-liters and putting out 234-hp, the 928S met all of the goals Porsche had set out for it. It was an attractive coupe with balance that appealed to a large buying segment and, for 1983, also enjoyed the distinction of being the fastest production car sold in North America with a top speed of 146-mph.
