Oil on canvas.
80 in. x 60 in.

This large and impressive oil on canvas, dated 2013, was created by renowned artist Dexter Brown, working under the pseudonym de Bruyne. De Bruyne is regarded as the most preeminent living automobile artist and has created a number of large-scale oil paintings in the romantic Impressionist style. His paintings are highly sought after and are held in important private collections across the United States, Europe, and Japan.

This particular example, titled Réunion à Molsheim, depicts a gathering of the most iconic and celebrated models from Bugatti history at the lawns of Château Saint Jean, the spiritual home of Bugatti and headquarters of the Bugatti brand. Iconic Bugatti automobiles depicted include the Type 41 “Royale” Coupé Napoléon, the Type 57 Coupé Atlantique, the Jean Bugatti Type 55, the Type 59 Grand Prix, the Shah of Iran Type 57, the Type 52 Bébé Bugatti, and its big brother, the Type 35 Grand Prix. Ettore Bugatti and his son Jean Bugatti are also depicted with their guests. The painting is in excellent, unrestored condition. It is framed in a black ebonized frame with slip and is unglazed.
