Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018, the Ferrari 488 Pista brought motorsports levels of performance onto the street, as demonstrated by its "Pista" nomenclature—the word is Italian for “track.” A Special Series, lightweight variant of the 488 GTB, the Pista embodies the pinnacle of Ferrari's engineering prowess and racing-derived technology. This includes design cues such as its underbody diffusers and the rear diffuser shared with the track-only 488 GTE, along with Side-Slip Control (SSC 6.0) and Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, which improves brake feel under spirited driving by automatically modulating the car’s carbon ceramic brakes. Moreover, the front of the car incorporates the S-Duct, a Formula One-derived aerodynamic feature that increases downforce, a first for a roadgoing Ferrari.

Powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, the Pista produces a staggering 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. This powerhouse, combined with advanced aerodynamics, results in an exhilarating 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 2.85 seconds, underscoring its track-ready credentials.

An homage to Ferrari’s North American Racing Team (NART) livery used on previous 458 Speciale examples, this very special 488 Pista was designed in collaboration with Ferrari’s celebrated Tailor Made program at their design studio in New York City. Its exterior is adorned in Rosso Maranello, named in honor of Ferrari, and complemented by hand-painted dream lines on the carbon fiber side skirts, rear diffuser, and paddle shifters. Further completing the exterior is a suite of carbon fiber details which enhance the front air flaps, side air splitters, engine bay, and most notably, the wheels. The first set of carbon fiber, ultra-light weight wheels and center caps to be offered by Ferrari, each set is now extremely coveted. The very useful front suspension lift system was also specified on this 488 Pista Coupe.

Moving onto the interior, Mycroprestige, a highly durable technical material developed in partnership with NASA, is used in the lower portion of the cabin, including the rear wall and Tailor Made floor mats (which are themselves finished with a black Alcantara insert, red Ultrasuede edging, and red logo stitching). Carbon fiber racing seats and the dashboard are finished in Nero Alcantara; red Ultrasuede inserts on the dashboard and door panels provide contrast, and the seats are further accented by carefully selected red double-wide stitching. Red stitching continues onto the bespoke Cavallino on the headrests, which also pairs impeccably with the three-part red/silver grey/red Ultrasuede center stripe in both seats. To match the exterior dream lines, hand-painted R, Auto, and PS switchgear enhance the center console, while the driver’s side carbon fiber sill plate, signed by Ferrari’s senior vice president of design Flavio Manzoni, offers the cherry on top of an already impressive specification.

Upon completion, the 488 Pista Coupe—with a total suggested retail price of $615,773 CAD—was delivered new to its first and only passionate collector in February of 2020. Use was reserved primarily for special occasions, including its feature in The Official Ferrari Magazine alongside its 488 Pista Spider twin, as well as the extremely exclusive Cavalcade Moderne Warm Up and Cavalcade Moderne in Rome. With the remainder of its time spent in storage via a climate-controlled garage, it is now being offered by its original collector, complete with its original owner’s manuals, assembly photographs, car cover, scale model, fire extinguisher, and carbon fiber presentation case/humidor with key holder. Its odometer displays just 2,851 kilometers (~1,772 miles) at the time of cataloguing. To protect its surface finishes, the car has been covered with a full coat of 3M clear protective film; this protective coat also extends to the interior carbon fiber surfaces.

Do not miss your chance to own a rarely offered Tailor Made 488 Pista, which, when paired with its 488 Pista Spider twin, would make for the perfect addition to a dedicated Ferrari collector’s
